our engagement happened on a weekend trip up the north shore to a little cabin on the big lake with wood stove heat, propane lanterns for light, hike-in access only; in general, a perfect little place. we arrived after dark, during a blizzard, on the coldest weekend of the year.
it took until sunday for the question to come out while on a snowshoe/xc ski on the nearby kadunce river. we hit a dead end where open water blocked upstream access and were in a peaceful little gorge. getting down on one with with xc skis on is actually pretty easy! she said yes.
